My name is Clare O’Donoghue .

I have grown up in a little coastal Victorian town called Ocean Grove. I was born there & it could be viewed as a sad fact that [although I have travelled ] I have never lived anywhere else !! It is such a beautiful part of the world & a gorgeous place to raise my four children Louis, Ruby, Mietta & Perri who now all love the beach & possibly might never leave either.

My love of art is like my love of music ……………it varies enormously. You will see this in my work I like to explore different styles , colours , mediums forever evolving. I have painted full time since I had my first baby 22 years ago.

My work is intuitive I rarely plan it out before putting paint to canvas. Majority of my work is commission pieces, its often the perfect marriage for the client to have a piece made to measure providing the best scale, style & color palette for their home. For other clients they see a piece on Instagram or in a store and just know it makes their heart sing another great way to buy art as it will always work in your space if you know you love it.

Either way I feel like the luckiest person that my work could provide people with an emotion that makes it speak to them.

I ADORE color & I am often told I have rose coloured glasses on the way I view the world . If people feel happy looking at my work then I have achieved everything I was hoping for.
